The Issues

Stronger Community Education Systems
District 155 has challenges in Education that leave our students and school systems disadvantaged. Consolidation concerns, mismanagement of tax dollars with little accountability. Our district lags behind in recruiting and retention of educators and administration while like-sized systems around us prosper. Changes are coming to the educational system in Georgia; our students and taxpayers deserve transparent, proactive representation under the Gold Dome.
Care Back in Healthcare
In 2026 Medicaid Expansion is a fiscally responsible, bipartisan position. The ability of our seniors to age in place and have healthcare providers available in our district is at risk. We need new, bipartisan leadership to bring the opportunities to our district to make healthcare affordable and prevent the closing of more facilities in our district. Joe's personal experiences in Georgia's healthcare system gives him a unique and personal stake in providing the constituents of district 155 with the best healthcare options available.
Affordable Opportunities for Working Families
Let's be clear, Laurens and Johnson counties are not benefiting from the opportunities that exist today and have existed since the GA Ports expansion. The opportunity for new businesses and wage increases to bring new residents along with an increased tax base shouldn't stop at our district's boarders. Since 2020 Laurens County's (ranked 94 of 159 counties) population has grown only by approximately 1,455 newcomers while Johnson County (ranked 141 of 159 counties) has lost 305 residents.
